How do I get the longest burn time?

Since our candle drips, we highly recommend that you burn them in increments of 1 hour or less.

Burning your candle for long periods <2hrs will increase the temperature of the candle base, causing a more rapid depletion.

We highly advise to not burn your candle for over 3 hours straight. Doing so will cause the temperature of the base to rapidly increase, causing the flame to grow longer, thus encouraging a faster burn.

An aggressive burn time (no wick trimming + nonstop burn) would be 6 hours.

What creates the colored flame?

Green: Our cotton wicks are emulsified in of boric acid. Candles are ASTM Candle Tested. No Prop65 Warning Label needed

Pink: Cotton wicks are emulsified in <.5mg/ml of Lithium Orotate

Since the percentage is so low, and negligible (<1% for the entire candle) no harmful fumes are emitted or detected

The base of our candle is made from an ester of citric acid. It is also used as a common food additive.

How do I take proper care of my candle?

Our candle is an experiential candle, so we recommend that you only burn it when you will be able to appreciate the color the most.

To avoid damage to your property, all candles must be placed in a fire-safe vessel to collect wax drip.

Are the candles made from soy or paraffin wax?

We do not use either. We use an ester of citric acid as the base of the candle. It is naturally derived and frequently found as an additive in food. Unlike paraffin, our candles do not contain a petroleum source.

How do I clean wax drippings?

If you forget to place your candle in a fire safe tray, we recommend to NOT touch the hot wax and to let it cool completely, this will allow the wax to snap off in pieces.

On smooth surfaces, we recommend placing a hot rag or goo-gone over the spilled wax to loosen it, and slowly remove.

On irregular surfaces (such as a taper holder), we recommend placing the holder in the sink and running hot water over it. The wax will melt right off.
